Åke Holm "Josef framför sina bröder" Signed & Numbered Woodcut Print Mid-Century Biblical Art

This original woodcut print, Josef framför sina bröder ("Joseph Before His Brothers"), was created by noted Swedish artist Åke Holm (1900–1980) and reflects the artist's distinctive mid-century Scandinavian modernist style. Hand-signed in pencil "Å Holm" and numbered 172/250, this limited-edition print presents a powerful interpretation of the biblical story of Joseph revealing himself to the brothers who had betrayed him. The composition features bold black forms and soft golden tones, creating a dramatic yet deeply contemplative scene rooted in themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, and faith.

Printed on paper using the traditional woodcut technique, this authentic mid-20th-century artwork measures approximately 10.5" x 14.25" and is presented matted and framed, ready to display. Its combination of religious subject matter and modern Scandinavian design makes it an excellent addition to collections of Christian art, biblical artwork, Swedish prints, vintage woodcuts, religious décor, and mid-century modern art. A wonderful piece for collectors, churches, pastors, theologians, or anyone who appreciates meaningful sacred art and limited-edition prints by respected European artists.
